Techniques

All of the sculptures featured on this website are unique/original pieces that are made by hand.

I use Eberhard faber fimo clay or super sculpey III, and have found that they are the more durable of the polymer clay brands and are perfect for working in detail with in smaller scales.
Sculptures are reinforced with wire where necessary for added support and
eyes are made from glass or semi precious stone.

Before fibre is applied to the sculptures they are cured, washed and painted using acrylics or pastels to create a matching colour base for the fibre.
Wool, synthetic roving, naturally moulted feathers or plant fibres are used to create the look of real fur.
